Distance: 3 miles
Although there isn't much left of Hamilton, you can enjoy a beautiful one-and-a-half-mile hike to it. Begin by taking the four wheel drive road one-half mile past the Banker Mine, stopping at a US Forest Service gate. Park there and walk the rest of the way in. This easy trail has only a 200 feet elevation gain. The only part of the ghost town left is about eight or nine logs of the old mining camp office. They lay on the other side of the creek, so don't expect to reach them.
Along the way, please protect the rare plants growing in the area by remaining on the trail.
