With origins dating back to 1922, the Collegiate Peaks Stampede Rodeo is one of the oldest rodeos in the state. This award-winning rodeo is a great experience for the entire family.
Long-time rodeo stock contractor Glen Southwick provides the stock. His bucking horses and bulls are athletes bred specifically for the sport, are gently cared for like family, spend the off-season at home on his ranch, and eat very well. Southwick’s calves and sheep used in roping and mutton bustin’ events are each only used once per rodeo and only take part in two rodeos during the one season they participate. After their brief rodeo careers, they return to the ranch to continue their placid lives as cows and sheep.
Events Sat 6pm & Sunday at 2pm. Mutton Bustin, calf roping, bronc bustin – GREAT small town rodeo experience!
