Settled in 1871 as part of the gold rush that swept Colorado, Del Norte became the seat of the county and a supply center for miners. Today you'll find antique shops and museums in place of saloons and supply shops in this quaint little town.
Come this summer and experience the Covered Wagon Days, or take part in the Del Norte Mountain Bike Stage Race in July and see the beauty of Del Norte from the saddle of your bike. If a challenge is what you've come for, take part in, or just watch, the Run, Rock 'N' Roll event held in Penitente Canyon in September.
Littered with recreational adventures to be experienced and a sense of the wild west, you'll never have a dull moment in this little town.
